Offered for sale is a beautiful oil painting on tin - framed in a fabulous period carved wood frame. We believe this is portrait of New York Socialite Rita de Acosta Lydig. I believe the top signature reads "R Acosta" Can't make out the signature below that which is probably the artists name (see photo) It is framed and measures: 28" X 19" The tin panel image size is: 21.75" X 12.25" Frame and painting in very good antique condition: frame has some scratches marks and wear due to age - Painting has some marks and spots - lower left hand corner has a small patch of paint loss/wear which could easily be touched up-it is part of the background and not the portrait itself (see last photo)
